A house for two

Keeping the house includes a key for one person. They come in from their own phone or computer, wherever they are, and everything inside is shared: what one of you leaves, the other finds.

Is the house really free to try?
Yes. The terrace, with its pool, and the living room are free to walk round and play in, with no sign-in. The other rooms are there to look into. During early access, keeping the house is free too: give your email address and every room opens.
What does keeping the house include?
Keeping the house opens every room and includes one key for one other person, and everything you did in the free visit is still there. During early access it is free: all it asks for is an email address, which becomes the house’s. A house kept during early access stays free for as long as Gathered runs.
What is the key?
A link for one person you choose. It lets them into your house, so the two of you can play the games for two, talk, and leave things for each other. They never pay, and you can always play on your own.
Can I make a house for someone else?
Yes. Choose “A house for” and type their name: it goes on the door, and the key is theirs. It is the same house, kept the same way, free during early access, and they never pay anything.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The house opens in the browser on a phone or a computer. On a phone you can add it to your home screen like an app.
Who can see my house?
Only you and whoever holds your key can go inside. From the street, a house shows the first name on its door and how its outside looks, nothing from inside, and you can rename the door or take the house off the street whenever you like.
What happens to a free house I don't keep?
It waits for you. A free house nobody has visited for 90 days is cleared away, with everything in it. A house you keep is never cleared.
