Private beta · August 24, 2026

Your memories should stay yours.

Gathered collects only what is needed to assemble and deliver a private illustrated album during this beta.

What we collect

For organizers, we collect the name and email entered for a Gathered account, a securely hashed password and recovery code, album details, and private access records. For contributors, we collect the name and relationship they enter, birthday wishes, memories, selected artwork, song information, photos, and voice or audio files they choose to upload.

Who can see it

Anyone holding a valid private invitation, contribution-edit, or recipient link may access the part of the gift that link permits. Organizer links additionally require the owning Gathered account to be signed in. Organizers can view and listen to submitted contributions but cannot edit another contributor’s words or media. Do not post private links publicly.

How it is used

We use the information to save contributions, assemble the album, recover organizer access, notify organizers, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the beta. We do not sell personal information or use private gift content for advertising.

Storage and deletion

Gift data and uploaded media remain stored until the organizer deletes the entire gift or the beta ends. Organizers can export a JSON copy and permanently delete a gift from the organizer dashboard. Contributors may use their private edit link to remove their own contribution while contributions are open.

Music previews and service providers

Thirty-second song previews are supplied by Apple’s iTunes Search service and are subject to Apple’s terms. Hosting and storage services process limited data on our behalf to operate Gathered. Transactional email is not currently enabled.

Your choices

Ask the organizer for your contribution link if you want to revise or remove a submission. For access, deletion, privacy, or security questions, contact the person who invited you to this beta while the support address is being established.

This is a plain-language beta notice, not a substitute for the final jurisdiction-specific privacy policy required before a paid public launch.
