Early access, privacy, the house, and the practical details of gathering a book.
How much does Gathered cost?
Nothing, during early access. Keeping a house (every room, and its key) is free, and so is sending a book, a pop-up card, an awards night or a treasure hunt. Everything you keep or send during early access stays free for as long as Gathered runs. About early access.
How do I open my house on another phone or computer?
A free house lives in the browser you started it in, so come back to it there. Once you keep it, sign in with the email address you kept it with, on any phone or computer, and open it from My books.
Can I make the book by myself?
Yes. Start with your own page and keep adding pages yourself. If you want other people to join, choose “Invite contributors” from the book dashboard and give each person a private link.
What can each person add?
A written or recorded message, a meaningful song, a story, and either a Gathered painting or a personal photo.
Can I use Gathered for another occasion?
Yes. You can create a book for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, memorial, or farewell.
I cannot return to my book
Open passwordless sign in, enter the email you gave when you sent it, and use the private link or six-digit code we send. After confirming that email, choose “Open book” in My books.
Why does a contributor link say it is unavailable?
The organizer may have revoked the personal link or finished the book. Ask the organizer for a current link. Contributor links work while the book is being gathered; contributors do not need to wait for anything or create an account.
A contribution has not appeared
Open the organizer dashboard and choose “Check for new contributions” under Settings & security.
Can the organizer edit someone else’s contribution?
No. Organizers can view and listen, reorder pages, hide a page, or remove it. Only the contributor’s private edit link can change their words and media.
How do contribution reminders work?
Choose an optional contribution deadline, then use the organizer dashboard to prepare a reminder with that date and the private invitation link. You decide when and where to send it; Gathered does not message contributors automatically.
What if not everyone contributes in time?
The book can still be completed with the pages that arrive. Before creating the recipient link, the organizer reviews the book and chooses exactly which submitted pages to include.
I need my data or want the whole gift deleted
From the organizer dashboard, open “Settings & security.” You can download the book data or permanently delete an eligible unsent draft and its uploaded media.
I think a private link was shared
Open My books, expand Security beside that book, and rotate shared links. Existing contributor, recipient, and edit sessions will stop working.
